Send out a warm-up that reads:

During the two weeks prior to the training,
  1. Find a person who knows a lot about this topic.
  2. Conduct a short interview in which you ask this person:
    • what he or she knows,
    • what is important to learn, and
    • some questions that you need to ask during the training.
  3. Write a short summary of your interview and be ready to present your summary during the training.
