Therefore:

Appreciate someone by 1) saying what the other has done, specifically; 2) share how you feel about that; and 3) make clear which need it fulfils. Learn to receive kudos and given them to others, too. If kudos are too vague, have the guts to ask about specific examples of your actions that the other values so much. Collect the kudos in you knapsack for tougher times. They will give you strength.
